Wrestlemania 30 Sketches! Here are some sketches I did of some of the events that happened at Wrestlemania 30. No, I didn’t do them as they happened unfortunately. I was too in to the event to do that. I watched the show the following day and paused it at random moments and sketched them out as quickly as I could. I did spend a little too much time on some that were really fun to draw, like Stephanie McMahon, who is now my second favorite person to draw next to Dean Ambrose. I’m going to be compiling all the Monday Night Draw sketches up to Wrestlemania and collect them in book. These sketches are examples of the some of the extra content the book will have. Be on the look out for more updates on the Monday Night Draw collection. I should have more info soon as I’m trying to finish it up and have it ready for this years Compicpalooza (May 23-26.)
Daniel Bryan with my Art Print! Had a nice surprise today. John Sletholt sent me pictures of all the Wrestling commissions I did for him signed by each wrestler. Not only did he pick up two Daniel Bryan Art Prints, he gave one to Bryan himself, and even got a picture with him holding the print! How cool is that?! A BIG thanks John.
“Only God Forgives” Movie Sketch.
I’m a big fan of Nicolas Winding Refn’s movie “Drive” starring Ryan Gosling. When I heard that they both were going to make another movie together called “Only God Forgives”, I had to check out the trailer as soon as it came out. Really excited for this movie! The visuals, just like Drive, look amazing. There’s this one shot in the trailer that I based my sketch on. It just had to be done!
Again focused on speed. Tried doing the sketch as quickly as possible. Also focused on design this time. Tried to make it look as cool as possible with what little time I had. Finished sketch clocked in around 20 minutes.
A little project I’m doing on the side. Using it not only to beef up my portfolio a bit but to also get some more practice doing digital paintings in Artrage. No paints yet but here is how I set up the image.
Big thanks to my friend, Cate, for letting use her cool Halloween pic.
